Once again the Columbus Flyers have chosen the Blender as one of the courses for their annual "KING Of the Courses" (KOC)  marathon disc golf event to be held Saturday 9/6/07.  The event starts with a round at Griggs/Lobdell and , then comes to Blendon Woods for round two followed by a lunch break.  It then finishes at Hoover with two rounds, 18 from the short and 18 from long tees. In most years the winner has had to carry the day at Blendon to win.

A number of wild turkeys have been sighted in the park this year.  One hen nested on the disc golf course and is seen frequently with her three chicks in the vicinity of the course.

A brand new set of DGA Mach III baskets has been installed at the BWDGC.  The putting/warm-up area, adjacent to the tee of hole one, now features one DGA Mach III with an "Around 9 Game" , one Discraft Chainstar, and an Innova Disc Catcher, so you can practice putting on all 3 major baskets in one place    Also: A major Putting Contest - Saturday morning AM only Tournaments - Evening leagues (w/handicap scoring) are about to be announced so please check back. Prizes, Trophies, and fun for all!
