2011 plastic in review:

Last year INNOVA released their 5th 13 speed disc, the APE (13/5/0/4) in Champion Plastic, followed by the Archon and Tee Devil.  Discraft released the "Crystal Sparkle" U.S. Ams Z-Nuke and the Z-Nuke-SS. Earlier last season Innova released the Vulcan in their ever popular STAR Plastic. This disc (13/6/-4/+2) is an even deeper move into the world of high speed under stability.  This disc might be referred to as a Road Runner on steroids. It has been a very popular disc since it allows many more players to experience the enjoyable sensation of throwing a really fast disc.  Discraft released another of their fastest ultra long range drivers, the NUKE-SS(1.0) in their Z- Plastic. This disc has helped those with less than monster arms get the extra distance they are looking for in a driver. In 2011 Discraft also released the Hornet ( 2.0 - 2010 Ace Race Disc) and the Buzzz-SS ( 0) in their indestructible Z-Plastic. D/C also released their popular Nuke in the grippy Elite-X Plastic.  Disc Mania (Finland) released the DD2 "Frenzy" (essentially a tweaked Katana) in their most durable C & S-Line Plastics in the US.   Latitude 64 (Sweden) followed release of last year's "River & Flow" with the mid-range Pain (4/4/0/2) and the super fast Havoc (13/6/-2/3).  And not to be left out Vibram has released their 1st driver the Ascent, followed by the Trak, Ibex and Sole in their much liked X-Link rubber polymer material.

Our Hours - I just wanted to say something about our store hours which may be different than what people are used to.  Many people are really surprised that there is a disc golf only store in Columbus, Ohio and then seem equally surprised that we aren't open 24/7.  We are open by a schedule that changes but is always posted on our front door, on our phone message, and on this webpage. We are after all a specialty store and as such have more limited hours than convenience or big box stores.  In exchange we offer a much wider and deeper range and selection of products along with vastly greater experience in and appreciation for the sport of disc golf.  We are also serving a seasonal sport in which product demand varies greatly with the time of year.  Most of you have adapted to the situation by calling or checking our website for our current hours and for this we thank you. And with your continued cooperation and support we will continue in our goal to bring the Central Ohio disc golfing public a quality disc golf shopping experience.
